A DYNAMIC COMPANY IN CONSTANT EXPANSION

Founded in 2007,   L.C.I. Lavorazione Carta Riciclata Italiana srl   grew out of the needs of two other businesses,   Rowe GmbH and UPM - Kymmene Oyj , to buy waste paper in Italy.  

  Rowe Gesellschaft fuer Rohstoffhandel Wertstoffrecycling Entsorgung GmbH   is one of the largest German municipal paper collectors and waste paper recyclers based in Nuremberg, with two branches in Munich and Dachau.  

 

UPM-Kymmene Oyj is a Finland based company with 54 production plants in 12 countries.   L.C.I.'s main objective   is to combine the two companies purchasing power in Italy, bring all its suppliers together in one conglomerate and try to help groups of business, local government businesses and local government itself to enhance differentiated waste collection. L.C.I. has also developed a safety valve in Italy for excess waste paper, solving major collection problems and avoiding the disposal of excess material as landfill.  

  With a turnover of €25,500,000 in just its second year of operations   L.C.I. is enjoying strong steady growth . Apart from the two mother companies L.C.I. supplies major paper mills in Austria, France, Germany and Slovenia, is gradually expanding its market into Asia and expecting to reach India, Thailand and Vietnam in 2010 with China in 2011. In the Italian market L.C.I. is committed to   improving and increasing specialisation of its differentiated waste product   by working with existing platforms to ensure collected material is reusable for a larger number of businesses.
